Happy 2 years old...

We celebrated Isabel's 2 year old birthday in Summit Hotel on the Sunday this year. We booked a hi-tea for about 25 pax - all are family members from hub and my side. Coincidently it was the school holiday week, my side of family members managed to come down from Ipoh and Singapore to celebrate Isabel's birthday.

It was sort of a last minute decision. I was busy in office for the whole month and have no time to plan for it. Everyone was busy, so hub didn't want to do it at home (as usual). We just want to enjoy the party, not busy preparing, cooking and serving, which I agree. So I was searching hi and low on where to have it. Finally we decided on Summit Hotel for 2 main reasons - reasonable price and nearest to our home.

I was worried the food was not good but it turned out ok. Though the spread was not a lot but it is sufficient. They even helped me to decorate the place with balloons. The best part is, there were not many customers on that day and we had the whole place to ourselves. It "looked" like we booked the whole cafe for Isabel's birthday..hahaha...

Anyway, everyone had a good time catching up with each other. Isabel is definitely having a good time running around until hub was too tired and put her in the stroller and push her around in the cafe.....

Honestly, it was mainly for the adult to get together since Isabel is too young to understand what is a birthday party. To her, as long she can go "kai kai" and run around, she is a happy angel.

Isabel, mommy promised you that when you are bigger and has more friends, we will sure do a REAL princess party for you, ok? As of now, you are surrounded by people who loves you and I think this is a good celebration too.

Ready for potty training?

@ 2 years and 6 days old.

Yes..I think I am ready. All the while mommy didn't really bother to potty train me because she is waiting for my sign of readiness. But she did show me the blue potty that kor kor was using and I have been "playing pretend shi shi and ng ng" on it for some time. Mommy thought she will only start training me after kakak leaves in April.

This morning when I was walking down the stairs (just woke up), just when I was reaching the final steps, I paused and feel the urgency to "push". Mommy spotted this moment and asked me whether I want to ng ng and asked me to wait. Immediately she took out the potty and removed my pants and diaper (luckily I have not pooed yet), she put me sat on the potty. It was funny and after a while, I finally pooed in the potty. Yeah..this marked my FIRST time pooed in the potty..yes..mommy was too lazy to let me poo in the potty since young. I know many young babies were trained to poo in the potty even before reaching 6 months old..

When I heard the sound "pop", I was scared and stood up and looked into the potty. I saw a big brown thing inside the potty and get scared. I didn't want to sit on it anymore and requested to wash my buttock instead. Anyway, it was a good start. Mommy then washed my buttock, then brought me upstairs to change.

When we reached the room, while mommy was taking out a new disposable diaper, I stood in front of the toilet door and kept telling mommy, "ng ng..ng ng..ng ng.." but mommy ignored me. Mommy thought I wanted to go in and played water. She told me I have just ng ng. And suddenly I cannot hold anymore, I PEEed on the floor mat. Only then mommy knew my "ng ng" actually referring to "shi shi". I get confused.

Mommy felt so sorry to ignore my request but she was proud of me. She knew at least I know when to tell I want to shi shi. She knew from that moment, I am ready for potty trained. She could have started today but since everyone is busy with work before kakak leaving, she is putting this on hold.

In the afternoon, I told mommy I wanted to ng ng also. She ignored me again but I kept making noise in front of the toilet door. SHe gave me the potty but I refused to sit. I was holding a cup and she thought I wanted to play water. Anyway, I was making too much noise and she put me in and let me sat on the adult WC, WITH my diaper on, just to satisfy me. But later, she really heard sound of shi shi coming out. I peed in the diaper. Another round of sorry since she didn't trust me again.

In the evening, before taking shower, mommy wanted to cut my hair. Again, I told her I wanted to ng ng and this time, she understood my request. She put me on the adult WC and I did shi shi in the adult WC. Mommy is definitely proud of me.

Of course, I still have many incidents that I peed in the diaper without telling mommy. But I think I am ready for potty training provided the adult has the time to do it. I think it is fun to pee in the toilet because I get to wash hand and play water inside the toilet.

Kidzania

Last Saturday, daddy and mommy brought us to a place which is very fun to play. There were many children around and the children can run around without worrying about cars.



I was sitting in the stroller earlier and was pushed around (luckily daddy brought along stroller). I was facinated by the surrounding and there were so many things to look around.

Someone even passed me some money after scanning my "Ben10" watch..yes..I told mommy, "nice nice..Ben10"..

Mommy said it is money..to me..there are just papers..

After sitting for sometime, I get too bored and requested to be come down..so, I get to walk walk...I then saw kor kor inside a house and I kept calling "kor kor..kor kor..Darren.." But mommy asked me don't disturb kor kor because kor kor is building houses. I watched from outside..


I enjoyed walking around and climbing on those dividers. I like to lean on the railing too. I even want to participate and go in to those places but mommy said I am too young. They don't accept us..I cannot make money yet..:(

So, I "walk walk stand stand", has nothing to do..so I eat fries lor..daddy bought me fries and doughnuts...

Later, I get too bored and mommy was too tired chasing after me, she brought me to Urbano's school. I love it there...


We spent about 15 mins in the school, then proceed to the Urbano's house.


I love playing at tha ball pool...


Later, I played at the kitchen..



I get so tired after all the playing and fell asleep in the stroller while kor kor went to be a fire fighter. I was afraid of the fire engine sound and close my eyes and hug mommy's tight.

When I woke up, it was time to go home. I had a great day at Kidzania today though I cannot make or earn money..but it was still fun..

Mickey's safety Club Showcase at Petronas StreetSmart Exhibition

Daddy and mommy brought us to the Mickey Mouse Showcase at Petronas KLCC few weeks back. I was greeted by Mickey Mouse at the entrance. I was so excited to see so many people and alsoc cartoon characters inside.

Kor kor played some driving game while I watched him play. Later, mommy get us all sit down on the floor and gave me a box of colour pencils and paper to colour. I scribble and scribble, hoping to win something from the colouring contest.


Later I saw kor kor walking up the stage and I called kor kor DArren from down here. I was wondering why kor kor went up the stage. Then kor kor brought back a paper bag and I wanted to see what is inside. So, I ransacked the paper bag and found a water tumbler. Wah..I want it..but kor kor said it is his..:(


Anyway, we had fun playing some games there and me running around. There were so many people and I was not afraid running around.

Kor kor was so loving on that day and wanted to take care of me there. He hug me and tried to hold me tight so that I won't run around.


When it was towards ending, there were some "big doll doll" coming out and dance on the stage. I kind of scared but also find it interesting. But mommy told me it is just doll doll...I wanted to see them but I dare not touch them. When they said hi to me or come near me, I immediately hide behind mommy.

I was so tired after the whole event and fell asleep in my stroller. But I had a great time there.

Mommy missed sleeping with you..

Dear Isabel,

You have been sleeping with us in the same room for the past 3 nights and 3 naps due to the suspicious of mites bites in your room. Tonight, you are back into your own room, though you are not recovered yet but we are quite sure you are not bitten by any insects. Mommy started to miss sleeping with you, having you in the same room as us.

It was difficult for the first 2 nights. You were too excited sleeping in a different environment and refused to sleep past midnight. Mommy was tired and frustrated making you sleep till I threathen to put you back in your own room. Daddy was the one managed to make you sleep finally. You really know how to bully mommy, huh?

But you slept like an angel throughout the night. Mommy slept with so much peace too, knowing you are by our bedside. You hardly woke up crying because you don't need to. Mommy can sensed your movement in the same room and you usually will call "mommy" when you woke up. We slept till late morning, well since we slept late too and mommy followed every of your sleeping and nap time. I enjoyed watching you while you sleep. This, I have been missing since you are sleeping on your own.

Tonight, mommy is feeling something is missing, with you not by our bedside. Well, you have to get back to your room as mommy is going to work tomorrow and no one is able to accompany you sleeping in mommy's room. So, you have to sleep back in your own room. On one hand, mommy feels that you are such an independent girl but on the other hand, mommy feels so bad for letting you sleep on your own. Well, I guess we should think of the positive side instead of the negative. You are instead a very independent girl...

What bite me? Or is it allergy?

Mommy noticed there were quite a lot of bites on my legs last week when she changed me in the morning. She thought it was mosquitoes bites. She asked kakak did I play outside the porch but kakak said no. Mommy was working in the office during that week. Kakak and grandma were taking care of me during that time.

Mommy applied some cream for me and left the issue aside. The next day, mommy noticed that the bites didn't seems to be from mosquitoes but maybe some insects. However, she thought it was a one time off kind of bites I got from don't know where.

But I was getting more and more bites each day..till this Monday, I get another big batch of bites again. Grandpa was concerned, everyone was concerned..whether it was an allergy or what could have bitten me till like this??

Mommy checked and saw some puncture hole on each bite and automatically we assumed it was some insects bite. It was so so so itchy till I was scratching it all over till left me with very bad scares on the bites. It bled too. Mommy felt so heartache seeing me like this.

Kakak sunned my mattress and changed my bedsheet TWICE..it didn't help. Mommy changed my sleeping bag and put mozzi patch for me at night..it didn't help. Daddy flip and "hit" my mattress to shake away the insects, it didn't help..basically everyone tried all ways but I just have new bites everyday. It is getting worse..

Until Thursday evening, mommy brought me to see doctor. Even doctor couldn't tell what causes that..Well, the new bites didn't seems to have the puncture hole since mommy was preventing me from scratching it. Could it be allergy? But mommy said I didn't try any new food or medicine lately..I was prescribed some antihistamine medication and daddy bought me a hydrocortisone + antiseptic cream to apply. It cost mommy RM96 without an answer to my bites. The doctor nowadays same like the insect who bites me..suck all our blood and money..

Anyway, daddy also bought some anti dustmites spray to spray on my mattress.

To protect me from more bites, mommy let me sleep in her room since Thursday. However, I still get new bites the next morning. Then, that morning, kakak asked mommy to finish the remaining cake grandma left for us since Uncle Edwin's birthday. It was a walnut cake and I love it too when Aunty HS fed me that day. Mommy was not back from Bangkok yet on that day.

Mommy suddenly paused..what??? I ate WALNUT cake and also the mini cornetto that contains NUTS. She immediately called doctor and asked could it be "nut allergy"? Doctor said it is possible. Now, mommy has better answer..

We are still not 100% sure is it the nut allergy but it seems like it because I still get new bites each day though it is getting lesser and lesser. The hardest part is to prevent me from scratching it because it left very bad scaring on my legs and arms. Mommy just hope I will recover soon...it was just too stressful for everyone to think/find out what bites me and worse it..I am suffering from the itche and scarring on my legs and arms...

Why my skins so sensitive one? From plain itchy to mosquitoes bites to allergy during CNY and now I am suffering another round of skin problem....sigh...

Bad isn't it?

My spectacle frame broke

On 15/2/2012, while mommy was cleaning my spectacle in the morning, my spectacles frame suddenly broke. Mommy was surprised as it was an expensive rubber frame (supposed to last for ages) meant for babies and toddlers use. How can it be so fragile? I have used it for only about 6 months and I didn't play or pull it.

Immediately mommy called the optometrist and luckily we can get a new replacement for free. But it caused mommy so much hassel to drive all the way to Kota Damasara with kor kor to get it done and replaced.

However, this new one seems better than the old one as it fits nicely compared to the previous one. Don't know why as it was supposed to be the same. The one is tighther though because it is new.
