My first park experience
@ 1 year 2 months and 2 weeks old.
Mommy does bring me to park on and off. She used to carry me in the sling or put me on the stroller when she brought me to the park when I was a baby. She never let me explore anything in the park before.
Until few days back, she finally let me mark my first step in the park, with my colourful "soft shoes". Not only that, she also let me sing on the swing. I love the swing a lot. I can sit there quietly, holding on the front tightly and mommy will swing me up and down. I enjoyed the breeze that hit my face and I enjoyed looking around too.
I dare not walk so much in the park. Well, though I am quite good in walking now but still, I am not 100% steady yet. So, I just walked a few steps or just stand there and look at things. Mommy also put me on her lap and bounced on the sea-saw too.
I start to love park a lot. Mommy, bring me there more often. I want to sit at the swing.

Saturday shopping
We went to Empire shopping mall last Saturday. Mommy dressed me up in a mini jeans skirt. I didn't really like it and kept pulling my "hard" skirt but the adults found me cute. Well, can never understand the adults. Anyway, I crawled like usual, open my legs wide like usual too. When daddy carried me, my skirt went all the way up and exposed my whole leg and buttock too. Men...are men...
Anyway, in the mall, we passed by one store. Mommy saw some cute dresses and a pair of sock like soft shoes, that is perfect for a toddler who has just learn to walk like me. I am like wearing a socks but there is an anti-slip sole on it. So, it is good for walking. While mommy was choosing the item, daddy passed me a soft toy for me to play. Well, I am very possessive all the while and I fell in love with the soft toy immediately and refused to give it back. Despite all ways and method, I just refused to let go the girraffe soft toy. No choice, daddy has to buy it for me. It costs daddy a whooping RM48 for that small liitle soft toy. Hahaha...I win...
Look at me how tight I was hugging the girraffe (oppsss..sorry, my skirt was pulled up again..mommy please "blurred" it for me, shame shame la...)
I then started walking around the mall with my new shoes. Look, see how I pose with my new shoes...nice??
Mommy said since I started walking already, she can dress me up in skirts already...

Happy 14 months old
This little girl of mine is no longer a baby anymore. She has definitely grown up so much. Since we came back from Melaka, somehow she has turned into a little cili pidi - fierce and angry little girl. She knows how to scold us by making some loud angry sound and showing her angry face (frowning look). I can't remember her kor kor showed any sign of this at all at this age. She can really fight. Since her grip is very strong, when she is holding on to something, you can't get it out from her hand. If you take it away by force, she will cry out loud. She knows how to use "cry" as a weapon nowadays. When she couldn't get what she wanted, she will cry too. When kor kor bullied her or even she bullied kor kor and I came into the picture, she will use "cry" to make herself like a victim. A drama queen.
She loves her kor kor the most. She follows what the kor kor does. When kor kor laughs or does funny things, it will definitely make her giggle or laugh out loud. The first thing she sees her kor kor is to hug him. She will hug the kor kor from time to time, same as the kor kor too. Very loving for both of them. When she wakes up middle of the night and requested to go out of the room, what I need to do is to just bring her into my room and show her kor kor is sleeping and everyone is asleep, she will then keep quiet. And when I bring her back to her room, she will go back to sleep obediently. Guess she must be looking for kor kor to play with.
But, she also fight with the kor kor, mostly toys. Since kor kor loves playing cars and blocks, she will sure want a share too. She loves cars too, maybe influenced by kor kor. She loves to push 2 cars in a crawling position, if not, push it along the tv cabinet. Kor kor always complains that the mei mei is disturbing her cars. I always advise the kor kor to share. Now kor kor also smart already, he knows how to take another car and purposely play in front of her and pass it to her, to exchange for his car back. Smart kor kor.
Isabel is a very expressive girl too..just like kor kor. She shows all her anger, happiness, curiosity, sadness on her face.
Lately Isabel is not eating too well. She rejected her porridge about a month ago and has not been on porridge for few weeks. She will just shake and shake her head and the porridge has no chance to enter her mouth at all despite all the distraction on tv and toys given her to play. She is a bread baby though. She just loves bread and only eat bread and bread. I tried mashed some pumpkin and applied on the bread and she didn't seems to like it. She prefers only plain bread. That's the reason I am trying to make some home baked carrot, vegetable bread for her. I have no idea what to feed her anymore. On some days, she is just on full milk. Very obvious she has lost some weight due to her poor eating habits. Even milk, she is now only taking about 5 ozs every 3-4 hrly, average about 3 times (with solids) or 5 times (without solids) in a day.
Sleeping wise...some days are good, some days are harder. She has weanned her night feeding off. Last feed around 9.30pm before sleeping time and first feed will be around 7am ++. If she gets overly tired, she will have problem sleeping. If she is being put on bed in time, she will sleep very well. She can only sleep on her own now...So, I dare not bring her travelling at this age as she will have problem sleeping when not at home. A big headache. Lately, when she is awake middle of the night or not able to sleep at night, she will requested to go out of her room. But when I bring her down to show her the dark and quiet living room and bring her to our bedroom to see Darren and daddy sleeping soundly, she will then requested to be back to her room and she will sleep willingly from then. Guess she must be looking for kor kor to play with her. A very playful baby.
She appreciates toys more than Darren. She loves cars, dolls (hug) and balls (something round). She also loves to play shape sorter and puzzles. She loves dancing and shaking her body and head. Whenever she hears music, she will start dancing.
She baby talks a lot. She imitates us on some words and at times she will surprise us with some new words like "Who's that" when listening to the phone. She can say apple very well too but when asked to, she will not say it out. She will only say when she fees like it. Her voice is just so sweet and I am waiting for her to really speak properly.
Overall, besides her eating problem this month, overall she is not too difficult. If everything falls within her routine, she is just fine. I just hope she will eat better as I am really running out of idea what to cook for her.
Happy 14 months old, my little princess!!

Fever and "fong mok" after the MMR jab,
Poor Isabel, after the 9th day of her post MMR Jab, she started to develop the fever. Doctor said usually the fever will start around Day 4 to Day 10 and I was thinking she might be lucky and able to escape from that. Unfortunately on day 9, she finally developed fever.
Prior to the fever in the afternoon, she woke up from her nap and I discovered her legs got a few red big patches and I thought it was mosquitos bite. I applied cream after her bath and checked the whole body. It was only her right leg. But after she woke up from her 2nd nap, both her legs, especially thigh area were full of red swollen patches.
I was suspecting some insects bite coz it is definitely not mosquitoes bite. But later, I felt that it wasn't really bites too. It looked more like "fong mok". I then applied the cream to both of her legs.
Just before I changed her to pyjamas before bedtime at night, her patches were diminishing. I was quite sure that time that it was not bites but most likely allergic.
She then started fever that night. Poor girl, I have to cheat her to get her medicine taken. She didn't really sleep well too and wanted to be carry. I have to set up my alarm clock to wake up in the middle of the night to check on her.
The next morning her fever still persists. The red swollen patches still appeared after her nap. Very funny. I called the doctor to check and she said the fever very likely is due to the MMR jab but not the "fong mok". She asked me to monitor her for a while and see how it goes.
Luckily the "fong mok" didn't return after 2 days and the fever went off after 2.5 days. I think the fong mok is caused by the fever.
Look at the swollen patches on her leg. See also feel very geli and itchy. But I don't see her scratching it so most probably it is not itchy for her.

My 2nd Melaka trip
Daddy brought us back to Melaka last weekend to celebrate grandma's birthday. We left on Saturday evening and I slept through half of the journey. I made quite a bit of noise on the 2nd half of the journey because we were stuck in the jam. The total journey took us 3 hours. I was getting impatient in the car seat and requested to be out.
After I reached grandma's house, I was aware of the new surrounding and never let anyone touched me. Mommy was carrying me and I even refused to be put down. I was scared and need some time to adjust. It took me some time to get adjusted to the new environment.
Sleeping time was the worse. I only wanted mommy to carry me to sleep. I refused to sleep on the mattress. Though I slept quite easily in mommy's arm, but the minute mommy tried to put me down, i woke up and started screaming. Even throughout the night, the minute I opened my eyes and found out i am on the mattress, I would start crying and demanded to be carried. Daddy and mommy basically have no good sleep throughout the 2 nights there. The second night also the same. I was scared...I just not comfortable sleeping in people's bed. I don't like it at all. I only want to sleep on mommy's arm.
After this trip, daddy and mommy said they cannot bring me outstation the next time. They said I'd better stay at home till I am 2 years old...oh no...well,I think I am happier at home too.
Oh yea...I was having so much fun playing chase and catch with kor kor in grandma's house on the 2nd night. There were so much space to crawl and walk. We just played until so wild that daddy has to carried me away. He was so afraid that kor kor would step on me. Fun fun...I just love playing with kor kor....
Ok..here are some pictures of me in Melaka. We took this in Melaka beach. Sunday morning, daddy brought us to the beach. Kor kor flew kite and played sand castle while mommy let me played with sand too. But I don't really like the texture. Once I touched it, I requested to be cleaned. We sat at the mat and played with some kor kor container. Later I was sleepy and fell asleep in daddy's arm. It was so comfortable...Look at me in the picture, you can see how contented I was in daddy's chest...(look at my ugly hair style in the picture)

My first hair cut
@ 1 year 1 month 3 weeks and 2 days old
Mommy gave me my first hair cut last week. I am a baby who does not have much hair, so mommy never wanted to trim nor cut my hair since I was born. Until lately, there have been people commenting that my hair is long and looked very hot. Well, my front and back was very long but my hair is very thin. Daddy did not want my hair to be cut because he said my hair style looked nice. I looked more girlish this way. However, after much consideration, mommy decided to give it a trim early last week because of the hot weather lately.
Mommy let me play with water while she cut my hair. Well, obviously mommy is not a pro and she ended up cutting my hair SO UGLY. She basically trimmed my front and back only. She also accidently cut my right side very short. Kakak also said not nice...SIGH...Luckily I am still cute and pretty, I still looked overall ok. Daddy said I looked like a boy now. (It also mean not nice la).
What do you think?

I am very fierce...
After I came back from Melaka last weekend, I started to be very fierce. When I don't like certain things, I'll shout very loud and show my angry and frowing face. Eg..
1. Whenever I am trying to walk on my own, there is always a pair of hand trying to hold me and I hate it. I will make loud noice and push the hand away, with a frowning and angry face.
2. I also don't like when my favourite food (bread, banana, apple) are served too slow. I will make very loud noise to get their attention to bring the food to my mouth.
3. I also don't like when anyone tried to snatch things away from me. I'll hold it real tight and fight and scream and showing my angry face at the same time. Once it was snatched away, I'll start crying out loud.
Nowadays i am very noisy because of my loud shouting and protesting sound. Very fierce everyone said. So, I am very fierce one..don't play play, ok? I'll scold you if you make me angry.....
Look at some of my angry, crying and annoying look...(was fighting with kor kor his car at that time)

First to call Kor kor...and other words that I utter...
I love my kor kor and yes, the first one that I started calling was "kor kor", not daddy or mommy. Though I can pronounce mama and baba but I am not directing to them. I call mama when I feel like it and the "baba" that I utter everyday means "baby". When I see a baby picture, I'll utter "babe" (sound like baba). Now, I started calling "cheh cheh" too.
Besides kor kor, babe, mama, cheh cheh, I also know
- car (whenever I see the cars on the floor, I'll say "ouuuu..kor kor car car".
- apple (learn this from Ants on the apple book. Whenever I flip the first page of the book and I will utter the phonic sound of "A" and later said with apple."
- nana (banana..my favourite fruits besides apple. Mommy loves to hear me saying, "mama, nana. Mama, nana." I am asking banana from mama.
- kai kai (going out)
- bye bye
- bau bau (sound like baba sometimes)
- cute (sound like chiuk)
- pretty (sound like peutty)
Besides the above, I also baby talk a lot by creating my own words...I talked a lot and I like to make long long "ouuuiii" sound.
